Dear Colleague,

I am pleased to inform you that the English version of the Italian website dealing with infectious diseases is now available online at the address http://www.infezmed.it/, free access. Thanks to an intense work effort, the website was constructed to take into consideration the possible need to update ID specialists and/or all those concerned with this specialty.

The website is divided into three parts:

a) an educational area including lectures (ppt presentations or videos/audios), selected articles and international guidelines as well as pdf taken from free access journals, case reports, multiple choice quizzes, and finally selected free articles archive divided into different folders for as many topics;

b) a utilities area: links to the main international scientific societies, to PubMed, to the main free access medical journals etc;

c) an area dedicated to the journal Le Infezioni in Medicina (Infez Med), which is the only Italian infectious diseases journal indexed in Medline. Work is in progress to link the articles available on PubMed to the present website.

This website is proposed as an interactive instrument in which anybody can participate and offer her/his contribution. Please send us by e-mail or through the guestbook your proposal and/or suggestion (articles which you suggest reading, case reports you want to make known, lectures that you want to insert in the website, images or short videos that you would like to show, new sections that you would like to include and/or to take care of personally). We will answer in real time!!
